Our community programs are designed to help both seniors and young adults gain valuable life skills and experiences.
Our current programs:
TechSavvy 55+
TechSavvy 55+ is a weekly in-person program aimed to give seniors one-on-one tech support to help them navigate the digital world with confidence. Each cohort lasts 6 weeks and each class typically consist of 4 to 6 seniors who are assisted by tech-savvy mentors: Leila B. (Program Coordinator), David M. (Technology Educator), and our other staff (Kihwan, Issra, and Victoria).
What will you learn?
At the beginning of each cohort, we ask our participants what they struggle with the most and what they hope to learn. We tailor our teaching to the learning needs of each cohort. In general, we cover topics such as:
Learn how to create strong passwords, recognize scams, avoid phishing emails, and protect your information online.
Learn how to navigate your device (Windows, Android, and iOS), manage device settings, uninstall unwanted apps, and more!
Manage your finances on your phone or laptop. Learn how to safely use your banking apps, send e-transfers, pay bills, and other topics as needed.
Learn how to use video calling apps, such as Zoom or Facetime, to communicate with your friends and family.
If you have a specific problem or question unique to you, our staff will gladly help you out.

The Associates Program
Whether you are a handyman, housekeeper, or driver, there is a place for you at Over 55 Skills At Work. Here is how the program works:
- Be over 55 and share with us your skills.
- Once you have completed the associate intake and orientation, we will utilize our network of clients (developed over 40+ years) to assign you work orders.
- We handle marketing, administration, and customer service, so you can focus on your work, not paperwork or the stress of finding clients on your own!
