About

Our Mission and Purpose

We are the only organization in London dedicated to supporting mature entrepreneurs with services that help seniors and the elderly age safely in place.

We empower the older adult in their entrepreneurial journey, while delivering essential services which allow seniors to age safely in place.

We achieve this by helping older adults to launch micro-businesses using their existing capacity, skills and resources combined with custom learning resources and our Skills At Work program.

As a social enterprise, community is at the core of everything that we do, whether it is creating employment opportunities for older adults who have been discriminated against in the labour market, helping the elderly to age in place, or offering subsidized services to seniors or individuals facing disabilities or barriers.

At our core, we believe that the older adult is worthy of respect, and can contribute value to our workplaces, businesses and labour markets.

Guiding Principles

We believe that adults age 55+ are capable of contributing to our local economies, labour markets, and non-profits. Mature adults are worthy of our respect, and are a vastly untapped resource.

Older adults contribute knowledge and experience to our economy, and deserve the right to work irrespective of their age.

Seniors and the elderly have the right to age safely in place.

How You Can Help

We rely on donations and our volunteers to help serve seniors in our community. Your donations help fund valuable programs to help seniors age in place, while also providing adults age 55+ with programs and opportunities to run small businesses and connect with meaningful employment.

You can choose to make a monetary donation, or you can choose to support our mission by buying tickets to our 50/50 draw.

Volunteering

Over55 is a great place to volunteer.  The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and my efforts are appreciated. The office managers are friendly and always have a kind word at the end of my shift.”
