Our Mission and Purposes
Our mission is to empower individuals aged 55+ by providing the resources, training, and support they need to thrive in their communities. We are committed to helping seniors age safely in place by offering essential home support services that promote independence and well-being.
How Our Programs Support Adults 55+
Through our programs, we assist mature adults in launching micro-businesses in the trades, offering them opportunities to turn their skills into meaningful ventures. We also support job seekers aged 55+ with tailored coaching and training to help them re-enter the workforce with confidence. Our purpose is to ensure that individuals 55+ can continue to contribute, grow, and live fulfilling lives with dignity and purpose.

Additionally, we connect those looking to volunteer with rewarding opportunities that allow them to give back, stay active, and make a difference.
A True Social Enterprise
As a social enterprise, community is at the core of everything that we do, whether it is creating employment opportunities for older adults who are re-entering the labour market, helping the elderly to age in place, or offering subsidized services to seniors or individuals facing disabilities or barriers. At our core, we believe that the adults 55+ are worthy of respect, and can contribute value to our community.

We believe that adults age 55+ are capable of contributing to our local economies, labour markets, and non-profits. Mature adults are worthy of our respect, and are a vastly untapped resource.
Older adults contribute knowledge and experience to our economy, and deserve the right to work irrespective of their age.

Learn New Skills
Get the skills that you need. We offer training for job seekers, volunteers and entrepreneurs 55+, focusing on soft skills like communication and teamwork, along with business essentials such as time management. Our programs also include digital literacy training to build confidence with tools like email and Microsoft Office. These skills will help you to succeed in modern workplaces and access new opportunities.

Over55 is a registered charity with over 30 years of rich history in London and area. Our board works closely with our staff to provide governance, oversight and guidance in fulfilling our mandate.
